Allegiant pilot initially turned down by air traffic controllers for landing on low fuel

Air show practice is more important than 144 passengers and LOW FUEL

It's odd in this story that the FAA is blaming the pilot in this matter and as you listen to the radio transmissions here and are either a pilot, and air traffic controller, or both, you should at least see here why I would make such an observation in this matter.  Looks like the FAA (the government) is out to protect the entertainment aviation industry more than providing expeditious compliance and service to an aircraft with LOW FUEL and 144 passengers.  There's something wrong with this picture:
